About
Father Ian has been a tremendous blessing to Saint Peter's parish. He has helped re-ignite the faith of many parishioners, and has stood up for orthodox Catholic teaching. Unfortunately, the two pastors of Saint Peter's, Father Bud and Father Bernie, have fired him because he clashed with their theology and that they had another direction for the community. In a meeting between Father Bud and Father Ian on February 18, 2005 at 3:30pm, Father Bud asked Father Ian to leave the parish within four weeks instead of the full year as planned. This is a tremendous blow to the parishioners of Saint Peter's, since our strongest, holiest, and most orthodox priest, Father Ian, will no longer be able to minister to us at the parish.
This is a great injustice to Fr. Ian during his sabbatical and we are embarrassed by the actions of our priests. Fr. Bud did give Fr. Ian a one month severance pay but how does that compare to Fr. Bud and Fr. Bernie's $41,345 grant from the Eli Lilly Foundation for their four month sabbatical this year? Fortunately, a generous parishioner, who was impressed with Fr. Ian's preaching, has allowed Fr. Ian to stay in his home and use his vehicle in his absence for the remainder of Father's sabbatical. After Fr. Ian's last mass on St. Patrick's Day he invited everyone to stay in touch with him and gave out his address and phone number:
Fr. Ian Taylor

Fallbrook, CA 92028

We still request that letters be written to correct this injustice. Write to Fr. Bud and express your disappointment and make sure you send a copy of the letter to Bishop Brom, Bishop Cordileone and even to the Nuncio whose contact information can be found on this website. Thank you and May God bless you!
